That's hysterical ! I wonder how many non-Vibe owners would get a plate that just says R8R? There was alot of inter-state 2nd gen lovin' going on in the DeKalb, Illinois Hyvee parking lot yesterday... The black GT had Wisconsin plates. I didn't look at the driver's side, but they were missing the passenger side rear wheel center cap and both passenger side wheels had some pretty nasty curb rash on them :(. The white AWD had Iowa plates. Also, between the trip to and from DeKalb and while in DeKalb we saw a handful of 1st gen Vibes. Apparently the Vibes are quite popular in the college town.

Mac ! your vibe looks great. Also I can see how the Vibe MAY have been influenced by the Aztec. From the top of the headlights down the Vibe looks like the Aztec. Fogs light and the basic shape of the headlights looks similar. Vibe front end pretty much looks like a rounded off version of the Aztec. The Vibe looks much better.....

The '85 on up Grand Ams were notorious for having their doors rust out and thanks to the cladding, you wouldn't see it

Not exactly Vibe love, but I love the paintjob on this one. I've seen it before, but haven't been able to get a picture. I didn't even notice the dual exhaust until just now.

I showed them the forum and told them anything they need to know is here, so its out there, but mostly as a resource. They're the second ones I've gotten into one too, and she says she loves the Vibe more than her Grand Am! And even with the 2.4 its more efficient than the Grand Am too. Only feature they really miss is the heads up display. They also adore the space!

I'd hate to see what their 18s look like after a couple Chicagoland winters !My mom said that as she was going to leave the owners were coming out. She said it was a younger couple. She backed up and went right by them so they could "admire her Vibe" . She said they were looking at it as she drove by. I told her they were probably wondering what the deal was with the wheels .Coincidentally, the white GT was from the same dealer both our GTs came from. There's a good chance it was the very first 2nd gen Vibe GT I saw in person on the dealer lot.

I had two small dents in the back and one popped out all the way, the other one is a little dimple. Not particularly noticeable.

while getting ready for work yesterday, my best friend sent me a photo. I looked at it to discover that there was a wave blue Vibe sitting at our local grocery store. I was kinda bummed because wave is the only color I havent seen in person. When I went to pick her up, 30 minutes later, we drove by the store to make sure it was gone, and it was THERE!! It's cool that I caught it, I am the only Vibe in town, let alone there being a rare color.

So you were in the DC area? Did you see any of the red and white 2009-2010 Pontiac Vibes that the Ricoh repair folks use? I see Vibes from time to time commuting to work in the DC area but most of the Vibes i see around that way are owned by the Ricoh repair people. They are red and white and are debadged and say Ricoh in big letters. I forget to take a pic of one of their Vibes

While out running errands today, my mom and I saw a total of 14 Vibes! All but 3 of them were while we were driving so I wasn't able to get pictures, but here are the 3 we encountered in the parking lot of Woodman's (sorry for the small pictures, the battery in my camera died so I had to use my phone ). The 14 were pretty evenly split between 1st gen and 2nd gen which was nice because usually we seem to only see 1st gens around here.

This two tone Satellite was already parked so of course I had to park by it and get a picture!

Image

When we came out of Woodman's, this two tone Satellite was parked in front of us. At first we thought it was the same one from the first picture and that someone had just moved it, but upon closer inspection of the first picture, it was indeed a different one. This one had pretty nice looking aftermarket wheels on it.

Image

On our way out of the parking lot I spied this two tone Abyss and pulled up for a picture!
