$2.09 tonight for 87 octane. According to my nifty gas mileage spreadsheet, this is the lowest I've paid for gas since May when I bought the new car and started logging every tank. Exactly a buck more was the highest paid, which was in August.

$1.98 in Havana, IL, cheapest I've seen it so far. My mom saw it for $2.06 in Burlington, IA a few days ago. I remember the summer of 2000 when I was complaining about how prices had reached $2. How times have changed, now I am completely thrilled and bragging to get gas for about $2.

$2.77.... Horray for having something that doesn't suck down much gas, has a tiny tank, and doesn't need premium.

The last time I put gas in the tank (before the windshield incident...haven't driven it since, so I'm sure it's more now) it WAS $3.14/gal. at the Shell near home for the 92. (I'm sure in town it's more).Over the weekend we were on Maui...a Shell station there had the 92 at $3.55/gal.

I noticed yesterday that gas was going for $2.99 for 87 octane, it shot up overnight from $2.72. Yesterday on the way to go do laundry I notice the guy who works at the quickie mart next to the laundromat was putting gas in his car and this was one of the few stations that wasn't wanting $2.99. I figured that was a sign. I got my laundry going and once I went back out he had the pole and the plastic numbers out, uh oh! He was putting it at $2.99 when I drove up to the pump, but I still lucked out - it was $2.72. Shortly thereafter, $2.99 for 87 and $3.19 for 93.Today, it's back down to $2.73. *shrug*

Reg-87 for $2.879 at a RaceTrac station in Jacksonville FL on 4/26; up 8 cents in 8 days. Other stations at $2.929 for same grade. Prices fluctuate a lot, big swings up or down from day to day. There used to be lag time between barrel price, wholesalers charge and station prices, but not anymore thanks to instant communications.Thankfully, I swapped for the Vibe not long ago. Got 32MPG city/suburb on the last tank which is almost twice what I was getting with the Astro van.

An Imperial Gallon is 4.54 liters, 20% more than a U.S. Gallon which is 3.78 liters. But $5.60 an imp gal is still $4.67 per U.S. gal. However, the Canadian dollar is equal to 0.89 US dollar. So the $4.67 Canadian is $4.16 U.S. Looking a little better eh? Taxes in Canada may be rest of the difference. We pay less for gas but a lot more out of pocket for healthcare.Tonight in Columbus, OH I paid the bargain price of $2.899 per U.S. gal for Shell 87 in U.S. currency (well credit card U.S. currency anyway). But then my Citi Shell MC has a 5% rebate on Shell gas so that helps a little.

$3.18 for 87 octane in Louisville, KY. Man, the local gas stations are stickin' it to the Derby day travelers coming into town, or gee, maybe it's a coincidince. Across the bridge where I live in New Albany, IN it is $2.89. I topped off for $2.96 yesterday.

Using 87 last fillup was $3.09 at the Shell near my office. Suprisingly it's usually more expensive the closer I get to NY. But right now avg. around here is up to $3.11When I was in San Fran the other week, my god you people get bent over a table. Lowest I saw was a Valero for like $3.42!!Typically costs me $30-35 to top off from light on.

May 4, 2007 Columbus, OH East SideShell and BP 3.08 9/10 for regSunoco 3.18 9/10 for regOil price doesn't seem to the the factor in the latest 10% runup in prices - refining capacity is short. The only way we are going to see gas prices ease if we start using less.Of course the high price of oil is the largest factor in the price of gas and we wouldn't be looking at these oil price levels if not for all the turmoil in Irag, Iran etc. That might not be all bad as perhaps these high oil prices will hasten a change in mindset and give us an incentive to start changing our ways sooner than we would have if oil remained at $30-40 a barrel. You have heard me say this before - I always thought it was stupid to be using up our Alaskan oil instead of buying it from the Arabs when it was $10 a barrel. That could have been our strategic reserve. Now Bush and his idiot friends want to drill more and further deplete the oil we have under our lands and waters.

Holy price gouging, batman! Two Marathon stations owned by the same people in New Albany, IN are charging $3.39 for 87. One is right down the street from a Meijer charging $2.91. Other stations in town are anywhere from $2.99-$3.06. (removed)?Maybe the other guys are getting ready to follow suit, I don't know. I went to one of the Marathon stations in question last night to top off, but they were all out of 87 and 89 so I went to a BP and paid $2.99. So, I guess since they ran out of gas yesterday at $2.99 a gallon, people will be willing to pay the $3.39 today.

Last friday I paid $2.77/gallon. Today, it's $3.05. I'm not paying that. I've got 10 gallons at the house that was intended for mowing, but I'm not wasting gas mowing, I'll rent a goat. After that's gone, I'll be walking the 2 miles to work. This is insane, letting the oil companies greed kill working people like this.

Just saw 3.399/gallon for 89 octane (mid grade w/10% ethanol is usually cheaper here in South Dakota than 87 octane) on my lunch break. I still have half a tank (filled up for $3.039/gallon on May 9) It'll probably be about 3.50 by the time I need to fill up next week.

3.15...AND EXXON MOBIL SHOWS HIGHEST PROFITS THIS QUARTER! WOOO EVERYONE BEND OVER!they got us by the cahonies and there is really nothing we can do. what this country needs is more refineries to be built but i dont see that anytime in the near future.. and what about the war on oil.. i mean terror.. sorry.shouldnt we see dwindling prices now?it'd be interesting to see what the price per barrel is right now.also i dont know if this is everywhere or just my area, but it takes only hours for the price to rise once the price of a barrel goes up, but when it goes down, it takes weeks.
