haha scratch that bugging the wife thing... I'll be seeing it tomorrow since my buddy can't take off until next weekend. Hmmm... maybe an encore viewing then I've read alot of reviews from tfw2005 members and they are pretty mixed good & bad but they lean more towards the "abandon all known Transformers trivia and have fun watching it" opinion.

anyone else seen it yet?My wife & I saw it on the 4th around noon and it was PACKED... the 11:00 show sold out so we had to kill an hour at the theatre... TOTALLY WORTH IT There were a few things I didn't like such as my reaction to some of the humor earned a "I can't believe they just did that" sort of thing but it was a great movie. (two giant robot thumbs up!)

yeah it does suck that they didn't include a whole lot... I'm gonna pick it up sometime (it only $40 for me )If you want a fun shooter pick up the 2004 Transformers game for PS2. It's based on the Transformers: Armada TV show that was out a few years ago. I just got it the other day ($12 w/shipping from gamestop). Not much on story but a fun game for $12

Another good reason to buy a Transformers DVD...Quote »Buy Transformers DVD, Win A Chevy Camaro!Apparently when you buy the new Transformers DVD going on sale October 16th, you'll find a special insert inside with a website address from the folks at Chevrolet. At the website you'll be able to do the normal stuff like sign up for marketing information and probably even play the Build Your Own Chevybot game. But there'll also be one additional thing you'll be able to do. A tipster just informed us you'll also have the opportunity to register for a chance to win one of three actual production versions of the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro dressed up to look like everyone's favorite Autobot, Bumblebee. After having the chance to drive the drop-top concept version ourselves, we can conclusively tell you it's possible to have both a robogasm and a cargasm at once. Trust us. One piece of news I believe is already being circulated that I can confirm is Chevrolet's involvement with the upcoming "Transformers" DVD launch. In the DVD, you will find a special insert from Chevrolet. Open the insert and you find a website address to register for a chance to win one of three actual production versions of the Bumblebee Camaro. The website will offer you the opportunity to sign up for information on the upcoming Camaro launch. The DVD and the website will be available on October 16, 2007. The sweepstakes is open to all legal residents of the U.S. and Canada, except in the Province of Quebec, over the age of 18. Make sure you sign up to win a very unique Camaro and for updates on the launch including upcoming Camaro appearances.

Quote »It's a good time to be a Transformers fan. The big screen adaptation of the cartoon franchise last year wasn’t a disaster, and probably helped boost the franchise a bit. While a sequel for the film is planned, it seems to be staying on the horizon, just out of reach, for the time being. But there are more than just movies in the works for the Transformers franchise, and if the new rumors prove true, fans may get to experience the wonder of the Transformers firsthand. IESB is reporting the possibility that Paramount and Hasbro may be developing a Transformers based theme park ride. This wouldn’t be a roller coaster or a flight simulator, but (following the theme of “more than meets the eye”), a dark ride. For those who have made the journey to major theme parks, think The Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland, or Dinosaur at Walt Disney World – although they could also be as simple as The Haunted Mansion or Pirates of the Carribean. The idea is that you’re in a vehicle that travels through the dark ride, which presents scenes to you through lighting, animation, sound, etc. The rumors surrounding the ride suggest it would probably be set after Transformers 2 (and before a possible Transformers 3), and story ideas are vague. Most likely it would feature a battle between the two factions (Autobots and Decepticons) at some point in the ride, although that’s speculation. The rumors seem to indicate some characters may die in the second film, and therefore wouldn’t be available to be placed in the ride, so even the characters are up in the air right now. The ride is in the early stages of planning, with Paramount in talks with engineering firms to start development on it (so even that dark ride concept could change) and there’s no word where the ride might end up. Paramount owns several theme parks (King’s Island, King’s Dominion, and Carowinds), but has teamed up with the Walt Disney parks for other rides (such as the Indiana Jones series). I could also see Universal possibly wanting to get in on such a ride, which would fit their Universal Studios movie-based theme, although they are currently pretty tied up adapting part of their park to The World of Harry Potter. Would you like to see a Transformers ride, with the possibility of transforming versions of the characters battling it out before your eyes? Or is this something better saved for the big screen, where digital effects can truly make the characters wondrous? Transformers: the ride
