I'm 48 and have had my Salsa Vibe for a month. Like oldmanvibe I got it because it is great for the money and with the discount it was too good to pass up. I also like the styling of the Vibe. I looked at a ** whispers ** honda, but the body style is just so much like everything else on the road, nothing to make it stand out.

Consider yourself lucky, my friend. In 1965 I was almost killed - but ended up with only permanent double-vision and a mechanical hip - when hit by that drunk. I have no mercy on any of you who think driving drunk is funny. As far as I'm concerned, they can throw you all to wild dogs. Better yet, put you in handcuffs and let me have my way for a few minutes.

Just now read an article that older Vibe owners can relate to :
http://www.detnews.com/apps/pb.../1148Here is a quote from the link:"But the embrace of the Element, Scion's xB, Pontiac's Vibe and other cars by drivers across the age spectrum reveals some of the unpredictabilities of the marketplace."Oh, by the way, I'm 48.

Come on, folks. You absolutely never hear an older person saying, for example, "I'm 63 and almost 64." Your talking like this indicates that you're not quite used to being adult. Grow up and get over it.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I am quite grown up and also over it . I was simply adding a small pleasant bit of info by saying my birthday was coming up and how old I would be. Guess I shouldn't!PS My husband is 22 yrs old, 3 months, and 10 days! Will be 23 in 8 months, and 21 days!

23, and loving it. I noticed that there aren't many "teens" that ave a Vibe. I was supprised that every one that has one is older. I personally feel it was geared twards the "younger" croud. But I can see how people see it as a "family" car, and wouldn't want to be seen cruising "the strip" in it. Either way I love my Vibe, and driving it makes me feel like I am 16 and just got my license again.... only with more expirience....

a well broken-in 31 here....I guess I'm at the upper end of the "target" market, though the appeal for me is less about the "young and hip" and more about the fact that I can have a car that looks good, is fun to drive, gets good gas mileage, and I can still fit a couple of bass guitars in the back...-chuck

I find it interesting that even though the target market for the Vibe is young folks, the vast majority I see driving Vibes around here are old people.
Posted: Thu Apr 20, 2006 4:56 am

i thought the vibe was for old people, but i think the price is geared to young people. All i ever see is old people driving it!! they wont even wave at me
