Filled up a day ago at $3.33. The other day it was $3.29. What the heck is going on!? Is this to make up for the $.50 price jump last month to $4.28? Highest prices in the nation to uber-low. Heck, it may as well be July 4th weekend, and gas is usually hiked in price for this (and next) weekend.

I don't know about Minnesota, but Indiana and Illinois got the shaft earlier this month due to refinery capacity. Or should I say, lack thereof...

Just filled up @ 1.469/liter here in Montreal. Total cost was $67 for 45 liters of 87 which is a record for me. Never paid that much for gas. You guys in the states are still doing pretty well.

Costs about the same here in Nova Scotia I miss when I lived in PEI last year when it was 1.10/L

Ouch girl

I just filled up this morning (Friday) for $3.08 in my work Van. It's been dropping roughly 5 cents every day. We're due for another 50 cents or more spike

As always, there's no reasonable explanation for the sudden increase. It was down around $3.20 or so back around the time of the Pontiac meet, but shortly after the meet, it skyrocketed within a few days and has only been dropping a penny or two every week it seems like

. I always think "it could be worse" though. It's well over $4.00 in the city of Chicago, so even though it's high out in this area compared to other places, I know there are places nearby where it's way higher than it is around here. Heck, start driving east from Sandwich and you can see the gas prices rise the further east you get

My cousin was driving from Chicago to Phoenix last weekend and saw regular gas as cheap as $2.79 in Joplin, Missouri!
I predict gas here in Chicagoland will shoot back up for the holidays so I'm just enjoying it while it lasts.

Gas is $3.19 at the Citgo we usually fill up at, so while my mom and I were out running errands this morning, we passed a Citgo where gas was only $3.09 so we stopped and filled up.

Went up to $3.30, then $3.33, then $3.39. By now it's probably $3.4x.
There is now a Citgo in Sandwich, so we have been getting gas there instead of the one we had been going to because this one is closer. We stopped to fill my mom's Vibe up the other night and when we pulled up to the pump (old school pump without a credit card reader and you have to flip the thing up before you start pumping the gas

), there was a paper that said "Selling premium for regular price." All the pumps had bags over them that said "Out of Order" except for the pump that has the premium gas (93 octane), so we pulled up there and looked at the screen with the price on it. Sure enough it said $3.39 which is what the price for regular (87 octane) was on the sign. The price for premium on the sign was $3.79

! When I went inside to pay, I asked the woman what the deal was. She said they had run out of regular and mid-grade (89 octane), so they were selling their premium for the regular price. It won't hurt anything to run premium in the Vibe, so I am curious to see if they are still doing this in the next day or two when I will need to fill my Vibe up
