Before my oil change 9.2L/100km. ( oil was 9400km old)After oil change 8.7L/100kmI think cleaning air filter by blowing the air filter using air inside the shop shop's air helps the millage too.

Pretty sure winter-formula gas is all up in here cutting my economy by 5-10% or so my last two tanks. :-( I only get about 575-600 kms (hwy or city) with the winter fuel, compared to 650-675 with the same driving style in the summer.

Last four fill-ups:10-24-11 - 28.0mpg (Autobahn driving at avg. 90-100mph)10-28-11 - 29.6mpg (ditto)11-01-11 - 28.4mpg (mixed city and country roads)11-07-11 - 27.5mpg (ditto)I can report that since I reinstalled the K&N intake, it consistently adds 1-2mpg in all types of driving. But it looks like my lead foot isn't going to bring any 30+ mpg on the Autobahn.

Have you reached the speed limiter on the Autobahn yet ?

I remember you posted that ... but I didn't seem to see a consistent increase when I first installed it, in the States. Only when I re-installed it over here (I took it off for the initial inspection, as I don't really think this is street-legal in Germany). That K&N "whine" sure is nice on the Autobahn. I guess the speed limiter is somewhere above 120mph.

I guess the speed limiter is somewhere above 120mph. Yeah. I have been getting right around 28mpg consistently with 50/50 driving. Not bad at all in my opinion for the 2.4L.Both our intakes are currently off. My Vibe started running rough back in the summer. I narrowed it down to being the AEM filter and not the CAI itself. The filter has never been cleaned and it and the CAI have been installed since July of 2009. I am going to get some K&N synthetic filter cleaner (AEM recommended) and give that a try. If that doesn't work, I am just going to order two brand new AEM filters. And to keep larger debris like bugs, etc. out of the filter, I am going to get two AEM Dryflow air filter wraps. Hopefully the wraps will keep the filters much cleaner so I don't have this same problem in the future. I am very much missing the sound of the CAI and I know my mom is too. I can't wait to get them back on.

Yes, try some of the suggestions on this thread. But you may not notice a big difference since mileage usually drops by 20% in the winter months anyways.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=45589

Latest fill up: 29mpg. I need to start coasting more again. Before that: 30mpg. Although it is probably idle times which are killing me. This tank I auto-start my Vibe a few times so it could warm up, since I am currently driving my friends to school and want the car warm ASAP. I don't care if its cold when its just me. Also, the shop probably idled my Vibe when they did my coolant and tranny fluid.

423.5 miles on 11.39 gallons (my needle was scary low)37.2MPG????? Whoa. Either I did something right, or my wheels spinning in the snow two Saturdays ago really pushed my odometer further than it should have gone. Still though, that's just a few miles of spun tires. What in the world did I do!?

You were probably driving slower and had your foot lightly on the gas 'most' of the time.

I watch my fuel economy very closely with a fuel gauge. I'm going even more conservative this tank than the last, so I'll hope that I'll see if I did something right. Another reason I doubt the 37 is because I did a heckuva lot of idling, and actually filled up at 3/4 back up to full and just got I believe 20-30 miles than I usually get on 11 gallons.

09 AWD = 26 mpg hwy and about 23 mpg mixed city and hwy during winter. Probably the only downside I've experienced with this car so far. AWD = extra weight. My Subaru got better hwy mileage and was bigger.

KITT22, when i saw you got 37.2 MPG i realized that i wasn't crazy after all! I drove 467.12 miles on 12.5 gallons (gas gauge got scary low), and when i filled it back up i did the calculations and i got 37.37 MPG . After my dad and I got done filling it up, he looked at me and says "If i hadn't filled it up and did everything myself, i'd have never believed it." My sister has an '06 Vibe base and the best she has ever gotten is 34.2. After that fill up, i loved my Vibe that much more!

Hi All--Just to blow your gaskets -- I get 41mpg hwy with my 03 Vibe GT (6 spd manual). But here's the catch -- to do that I set the cruise control at 55mph. I tried it once diving 2 hours out Long Island (nice and flat) and the second time was a 4 hour run from New Jersey to outside of Binghamton NY (up/down mountains). This is strictly hwy at 55mph. Cars and trucks were passing like I was standing still. But I'm old enough to remember the days of 55mph speed limits. The next leg of the trip (Binghamton - Rochester) I set the cruise at 60mph. I got 38 mpg.Atl 65 mph I usually get 35-36 mpg.I routinely get aprx 30mpg mixed hwy and city (and I mean CITY). I shift at 3K rpm as the owners manual suggests for best economy. So -- if you want to save money AND immediately cut U.S. dependence on foreign oil by 8% just drive 55!

I just checked my milage last week in my 2006 Vibe GT and it was 172.2 miles / 6.151 gallons = 27.9 mpg which I thought was very good. That is combined city highway driving and I like to "get on it" when merging onto the highway. I notice that when the weather is warmer I get better milage and I should note that I vever put anything but, premium gas in the GT as the manual instructs to use.... Patrick

My mileage has been suffering due to a slow air leak in one of my tires (I mean really slow, it takes about a month for the "check air pressure" light to come on), which if I forget to fill the tire every week (I like to keep them at 35psi in the winter, the check air pressure light comes on at about 28-29psi) will bring my gas mileage down to 24mpg from 27-29mpg, boo.

I know our tires have gotten below 28-29 PSI and the TPMS light has never come on. It's probably one of those things that varies between each vehicle. Our gas mileage hasn't suffered too much since the winter blend fuel kicked in back in September, but I am hoping for a slight increase with the re-installation of our CAIs tomorrow, along with brand new air filters, air filter wraps (to keep the filters much cleaner) and airflow straighteners. The Vibes just aren't the same without the growl of the engine thanks to the CAIs.
