Hey, its not a lame thread. It's a bizarre thread. Crying gfs, vettes, mazda 3s, subaroo, trailer parks, nitrous... and so much more. Not totally sure I remember what the connection was with the new Vibe or old Vibe this far into it. Some people like the new one a lot, and some don't. Same with the 1st gen. I like mine a lot. Does a great job for what I bought it for.If someone doesn't like the Vibe, new or old, it's not really a big deal. They can drive something else. I'm not going to give mine up because someone else might get a big kick out of going from 2nd to 3rd at 90 mph. Although I have to admit that's pretty cool for a fairly large and slightly overweight 'sports' car.

(removed)? this thread had *nothing* to do with vette vs. vibe and BTW I do DAILY DRIVE my vette and see equal or BETTER THAN vibe mpg doing it, so don't start that businessbut, when it rains i drive the vibe as it's a knock around beater now and the mazda's been great so far

Garbage? To use that term renders all of his other comments suspect.

wow. I cannot believe this thread is still going. LOL I thought it had already run it's course, but seems others are late coming to the party. lets sum up this entire thread:OP's GF has an 04 Vibe and likes it. Decided to test drive new 09 GT. Didn't like it. Bought a Mazda 3 instead and likes that more. Somehow we got off topic and discussed just about every car... Vettes, Subies, Mazda's, possibly even more. Then THE GRANDFATHER spoke and we all digressed. There were some possible personal jabs here or there, but all in all, it is a typical thread on a car forum. Not everyone will like the new Vibes and not everyone likes the old ones. Pretty simple, all a matter of opinion. I agree with Kari, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, even if you may not like the review. oh well, as long as you're happy with YOUR purchase, that's all that really matters.

However, it can be easily remedied by adding sway bars, strut bars and a minimum of performance springs (coil overs would be best). I can understand the OP's dissatisfaction in looking to replace his 04 Vibe with a new 09 Vibe. If it's not an improvement over the old car, for the money, it really should be. but again, that's all a matter of opinion when the day is said and done.
