Looked at pics...read the blogs...read y'all's comments.It has no soul.Sure, looks like it's dropped a little, and Aztek comparisons notwithstanding, I like the headlight lines better (one of my compliaints of current Vibe).But what's up with the rest of the styling? It just looks frumpy to me; like the designers just had no inspiration so they sanded away anything that gave the Vibe any sporty appearance. I agree with silver_vibe's assessment that they've blurred the distinction between the current Vibe and the Matrix.I'm also disappointed with the possible "GT" numbers; I think it's blasphemous to label a vehicle with the GT badge with anything less than 180 HP.OTOH, it's not like I was going to trade in my Vibe for a new one next year.

From MSN Autos:Pontiac announced that its replacement for its Vibe hatchback is coming in early 2008, badged as a 2009 model. Little info is being released until its official debut at the Los Angeles auto show in November, but it's expected to follow the same formula as the successful outgoing model, with an interior, engine and platform shared with the Toyota Matrix hatchback, but different styling. It will also revive the all-wheel drive version of the Vibe, as well as a more powerful performance GT model.

well its the 2.4l so the SC from TRD (Scion tC) and turbo kits could be fitted id assume.....

I keep checking some sites and they keep saying, "oh, it'd be nice if it had the engine from the HHR SS." Even the car sites don't understand the GM/Toyota relationship.

does no one else think this looks very similar to a current matrix with a new Vibe front end?I know they share same platform essentially butthe thing i loved about my vibe was that even though the guts were Toyota the skin was really different now it looks they just created something that looks very similar toa Matrixmy 2 cents

Not Likingthe new vibe at all (but hey thats just my opinion....i`ll stick with my good ole girl Tronic..if anything ill buy another 03 or 04 but GT..

I don't like the look of the Matrix at all. I don't like the slope of the roof in the rear. We don't even use the roof rack, but I like that it takes the 'slope' away from the back of the car. They are making it look exactly like the one area of the Matrix that I absolutely despise - I would never buy another Vibe if this is the new look.
