You know, I'm old enough to appreciate Bob Dylan, but I just don't get him. My favorite Dylan songs are those covered by others (ex. Shawn Colvin's "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go" or Hendrix's "All Along The Watchtower"). Probably a bit harsh to say, but he definitely inspired a lot of people who couldn't sing or play to become performers.

I like music, any kind from classical to blue grass. from reggae to rock. I like to see what my 14 yr old listens to. like cheap trick says "Then I woke up, Mom and DadAre rolling on the couchRolling numbers, rock and rollingGot my Kiss records out"he probably thinks something like that when I put in his Greenday CD.

OK:Best sing-along-in-the-car big-rock-band rock chorus that you can NEVER let anyone hear you sing. The album is called "Space Metal"The band is "Star One" - but really it is one on many projects by this guy named Arjen Lucassen
http://www.arjenlucassen.com/.Every song on the album except the first one is about a different sci-fi movie, listen hard and you can figure them out. Except for this one.The song title, and the lyric to undeniably irrisistable you-must-sing-along chorus, is "Intergalactic Space Crusader"Yes, that's why you can't let people hear you sing it in the car. The song is about a BBC sci-fi TV series called Blake's 7.OK, now the real reason for this post: anybody know where I can get a US DVD of Blake's 7 ?

As I type, I'm listening to another "Greatest Favorites" mix of Stevie Wonder. However, in the car I've playing the posthumous collection of early songs from Elliott Smith titled New Moon. A bittersweet tribute to a tormented musical genius.

I'm fairly boring right now--got the new Emerson Hart disc the other day. He was the lead singer of the group Tonic and I loved them. Still jammin on Moses Mayfield and Amy Winehouse--excellent cds. Also got a couple of Plain White T's cds, and listening to some old Bon Jovi and Cranberries that I just put on my iPod. Oh, and the new Orson cd is REALLY good too!
