Accident in the Vibe!!

Post by KimEBud8 »

Hey, neptune base vibe bought in august here, last night i was in an accident in the parking lot of the mall where i work part time. The guy hit me in the passenger side towards the front and my wheel got bent inward. I'm pretty much a wreck since I just bought the car and was wondering if anyone else has been in an accident in their vibe or knows how bad the damage could be. I'm not really sure yet since it's the weekend and no one i know owns a vibe. Surprisingly the body of the car wasn't too badly damaged, i was impressed since the other car hit me going pretty fast. Anyone who can give me insight, thanks in advance!~Kimberly

Sorry to hear about the accident. It makes you sick to see your baby hurt. It would be hard to say what the damage would be w/o pics, more info.Carl

Sorry to say you weren't the first, won't be the last. Good luck with the repairs. Hope they can scrounge up some parts for you. People in this thread waited a long time for their repairs to be complete. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=264

I will definitely keep everyone updated on the damage and how long it takes to get my car back on the road, I'm hoping the insurance issue will be what takes the longest but you never know with cars! I'm going tomorrow to check on my car and see how bad it is. ~Kim

Ouch! Better to get hit in the fender than the wheel - high chance of damage to the drivetrain. Beware of hidden damage, get the alignment checked when they are done, get a warranty.

Hey Kim, sorry to hear about the accident. Coincidentally, I was also hit on the right front panel about a week after I bought my Neptune Vibe. Due to the lack of availability on parts and the insurance, it took three weeks before I got my baby back. However, all is good in the world now. Good luck. If you need any assistance, let me know.
