Just wanted to say thanks to all those veterans out there past, present, and future. Without you the USA would not be what it is today. Your service has not gone unnoticed and your sacrifices will always be remembered. Thank You! Here are a couple of pics from my hometown of Lone Tree, IA. This is located at the cemetary and the American Legion post in town.
Each one of the flags you see represent a veteran who has lived in our community. Many of which are buried in the local cemetary. The last time I heard there were at least 100 flags, so there have probably been more added since then.

I went and saw my Dad at the cemetary and brought a flag for him but all of the Veterans graves already had flags on them. My old next door neighbor is also there only a few feet from my Dad. I always say Hi to him also. Both Veterans and good men and Fathers. It will be 20 yrs. next July 17 since my Dad left us. Respect for all you Veterans living and gone
redlava---excellent expression of sentiments. I need not say more.Let the words of the great patriot, Samuel Adams, speak for themselves here today, as they ring loud and as true today as the day when they were spoken over 200 years ago:"Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, 'What should be the reward of such sacrifices?' ... If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!" --Samuel Adams
