Stobe lights? How to?

So last year I purchased a strobe light kit at Autozone for at the time my Chrysler Sebring like the one that cops use on their emergency lights but not as strong. Comes with sleves to change the colors from blue, red, purple and white I tink. Never used it and was sitting in my garage till yesterday when I was putting some stuff in the garage and found it. So I installed them (mostly) last night but I have a question. I supposed to plug them to the battery but I have to buy a switch to turn them on and off from the inside of my car. My question is can I use the button located under the air conditioning buttons? There is 3 buttons A/C, Inside or outside air, and then a blank one. It has no use that I can see it cannot be pushed like regular buttons. So is it something I can use? How? What do I need to buy? From where? Or do I just need to go with one like the attachment? Im not an electrical person so im clueless in this section. Any help?

no that button has something to do with the ac unit and it has something plugged into it i think i read somewhere...what youll probably have to do is what im doing to run my neons, install a switch over to the left of the steering wheel by the hatch release and the coin holder thing... you can pull out the coin holder and then stick your finger around and pop out one of those spacer slots and then install a switch there...

the bottom button is blank, but you can't press it in w/o some kinda switch. i used that button to install the red led light for my back up indicator on my GT. i would probably use either one of the blanks on the left of the steering wheel or the good for nothing "coin holder" on the center console. if i intall the heated seat element on the passenger side, that's where i planned on placing the switch. other than that, you are best to ask jahntassa or joatman or cdfxer or anyone of those guys that understand the schematics in great detail.

i agree with what hope said...install a switch in one of those extra spaces next to the hatch glass release button, or buy a blank plate and install it under the ebrake. that "button" under the a/c button is a decoy, just there to hide the mechanism that disengages cabin recirculation when the mode knob is turned to either defrost/floor or defrost...

The switch you have pictured is a bit overkill. I think that's an AC switch, not necessarily for cars. You can get a low-power DC switch at Circuit City (we carry APC stuff now..yay), or at a car shop. Even radioshack will carry it. I just use small toggle switches.If you go to an autoparts store, you can get a lighted on/off switch so you know when they're on. That's probably the best idea. I agree with Hope and Mike, put it to the left of the steering wheel in one of the blanks.

You could also get a light up toggle switch from Wal-Mart. There is another "blank" by the cup holders. That would be another possible location for your switch.

Pep Boys sells an 'OEM-Style rocker switch' that will snap right into place, no cutting, no drilling. I used it for my light sensor disable project, mounted right next to the hatch glass release switch.

Well you didnt, but your taking a chance.I wouldn't take the chance for a $5 relay.if you mess up a something or even your CPU you'll be very sorry.Electrical or Electronic work is very expensive and if it's your fault warranty won't cover it.
