OK. Im stupid. What is the cladding and what is the problem with it?

the term cladding refers to the gray plastic body parts on the two tone vibes, like in this two tone neptune vibe the montone vibes have painted claddingThere are three issues with cladding so far:- on the 2003 models, the gray cladding was more easily abraded, some call it a sand blasting effect, especially around the rear wheel wells. The GM fix is to replace it with 2004 cladding, so you shoudl be OK on yours- there are little rubber pads that keep the cladding from rubbing on the painted surfaces. A couple of people have had these thin rubber parts discolor, almost looks like dry rot- If you get wax on the gray plastic cladding, it is hard to get off without using some kind of solvent.
