Hey all...I'm trying to book a flight online for march and can't find any reasonable deals...I've tried ALL the major sites:hotwire.compriceline.comcheaptickets.comaaa.comorbitz.comtravelocity.comexpedia.comtravel.yahoo.comand nothing was within my price range...does ANYONE know of any other sites online for flight booking that will actually give me reasonable rates? thanks!

We have a Northwest hub in town, so most of us go directly to the airline site. A lot of times, the airlines will offer deals you can't get on the other sites. I don't know if you will find anything on the airline site, but you might try there.Good luck and have a safe trip when you do finally get it booked.
Just because you see Charlie doesn't mean I am a he....sometimes Charlie can be a she!!!!
sometime last year I had to book a flight to South Africa. I searched through most of the sites you had listed and felt that there could be a better price.. I went to a random travel agency and got a super deal. Average price I got online were 1500-1700.Agency got me a ticket for 1199.I think I was just lucky

Yep, sidestep.comYou have to load it on your computer, and it runs on the side anytime you do a travel search on any of the other search engines. Also, go to your regional airlines home page directly and do a search. Then call the airline directly. You'd be suprised how often I have gotten a lower deal by calling. It is not common, but it has happened many times. Good luck
Where are you going? If you can be slightly flexible in your travel plans, you might be able to get a stand-by flight for a lot cheaper. Also, make sure you include the weekend (i.e. leave Thursday, come back Monday). Those flights are cheaper.Personally, I've never had any success with the online brokers. But, there are also only 2 major airlines around here, so there's not much to choose from anyway.
