i think he's hatin' on ya merz.i like those things, but would never get one because you can't drive with them on, and i never park and show my car off. but, hey, if that floats your boat, go for it.

Hey Merzbow, are those the LED underchassi lights or the "tube" lights (traditional)??? I am planning on installing white lights on my Satellite Vibe GT, so i wanna see which looks the best, and yours looks pretty kick a$$!!! very even lights and they fill up the enitre space under the car. I can't stand it when you can see exactly where the light begins and ends. but yours looks very fluid!!! Congrats!!!

I already got a ticket for them dirving on the main road. I only drive with them on two lane roads because cops going to oposite direction dont turn around...especially if there are other cars in front and back of you. Also I have memorized what the headlights of the crown vickys, and I installed the switch on the little plastic piece by where the left foot plate is, so I've master flicking the lights on and off with my foot:)My kit I installed myself with my dad:) It took a while but that's becuase I broke 4 drill bits going into the chassis and had to find good tuck-away spots for the wires. Mine is the "tube" lights. The best part of it is that you can see the front tube through the bottom grill, it lights up both grills brightly and even outlines the perimeter of the head lights A word of advice though, since the only stable place to put the side lights are directly on the bottom of the chassis, I would suggest not doing any curb hops or anything since they sit kind of low.
I don't sit in parking lots with themon though either. The small amount of time you have them on is well worth it when you get everyone's attention...ever since I got mine in August, I've seen 4 other peoplea t my school steal my idea and put underbody on their grand ams and grand prixs...b*stards
hey merz, love the underbody, i bought a system a few days ago and it's on it's way to my house. It's pretty sweet. it's an led system, 7 color changer, tons of display modes etc etc etc. I'm really psyched to get it. Should be great. Hey i was wondering how u went about powering your kit.
Looking good! I doubt if I'll be putting them on my Vibe, but I have a set going on my GA Monday, since it wont see any snowtime. Just be carefull with the snow!Streetglow GOLD series is the best you can buy, hands down. Brightest on the market.

I think the Underglow is awesome....I'm gonna install some on mine sometime soon...not sure what color I wanna do though...my vibe is satellite...any suggestions? Can't do blue...my fiancee is doin that on his Eclipse.
PIMPINOUTMYVIBE- Thats sounds like a barrel of monkeys I was trying to decide wheather I wanted CAI and wheels or a system...The kit I bought came with a transformer. I simply screwed it into the firewall next to the right strut tower...I'm going to have to move it if I get a strut bar though so I would recomend putting it somewhere else. The reason i put it there is because it's a great spot to ground the wires, and because all the wires met at that spot perfectly.DOPE VIBE GT- That's what kind of kit I have, street glow gold. I bought it for $75 off of a "tuner" auto parts store near Detroit.NAYNA- Hmm...Almost anything would go with silver, I personally would get red because red and black are my favorite colors, also because the gauges are red. I don't think I probably wouldn't get green though.
Oh yeah, First time we get over an inch of snow i'm going to take off the side lights...the front and rear tubes are high enouch off the ground that what evercould break them would have to go through the bumpers first. I'll just tape up the wires, and tie them down until next spring.
Well since you live in Michigan you probably know where Gibralter Trade Centeris right? I bought it at one of the booths. It was run by an asian guy and his fat American wife. They seemed to know alot about what they were selling because I went in there 2 or 3 different times and asked them all these questions about everything and they answered them all perfectly with confidence. I used to have their buisness card, but I gave it to some security gaurd. They have a shop some where on Gratiot near Detroit.
Uh oh.... look out. The politically correct thought and speech police may be paying you a visit! It's OK, though. Just explain to them that they are hypocrites for telling you what to think and say. That will leave them dazed and confused long enough for you to make your getaway....

That looks great! good to know someone else got a ticket for it mine was $75 though. I thought maybe if I used as much manners as humanly possible, he would just give me a warning like eeryone says. I turned off my car, turned on the dome lights, kept my hands on the wheel, told him i was goign in the glove box to get my papers...but it didn't work. My friend's dad called him and had it ripped up for me so I didn't have to pay it.I love your house by the way. Since I live in Michigan anything tropical makes me happy. Those houses remind me of our condo on Captiva Island
Yea, I was driving too, in Florida its ok to be driving with them unless they are blue or red and the cop said mine were red. I'm trying to find other kits that look light orange but I can't find any real life pics.

Hmm...I don't see why it's illegal...how can lights UNDER the car be mistaken for emergency???I can see maybe if they were pulsing but even still lights arn't on the bottom of ambulances. If I saw red lights I would think to slow down and be cautious not speed up and crash into something beacuse they are distracting...I don't understand...maybe if someone in this forum is a police officer they could shed some light on to why underbody neons are illegal!!!
Although once my friend had blue interrior neon tubes he put on his dash board and he had a loud speaker in his engine compart. with siren sounds and stuff. An older guy was goin about 15 mph under the speed limit so he flipped on his neons and turned on the siren and the guy pulled over to the side and we passed him. I was so funny.
Merz, you haven't taken out your neons? Are you going to take them out for the winter or not? I want to get some neons....what would look good on a silver car? I'm thinking blue.Desi

Yeah, I took off the side neons about 2 weeks ago when we got our first big snow...it was taking them like 45 minuts to completely light up anyways because it was sooo cold. The front and rear tubes are high enough off the ground that they wont hit anything and crack. I can't wait to get them back in next spring I love having them on Silver? I would go with red or blue...red and black are my favorite colors thats why I got a red one. I probably wouldn't get green though, I'm not too fond of green.
I bought a 7 color L.E.D. undercar kit to add to my existing orange kool glo kit and never recieved it. I bought it from Theneonedge.com and they took my money and never sent the lights. They won't return my emails or anything so I dont know what to do.

sorry, but you'd waste your time sueing someone like that... they're probably out of business. you need to call your credit card bank and dispute the charges. you have 90 days to do it from your purchase. sometimes they'll let you dispute it later than that. you'll need any and all info you have to prove that they are a scam and you did not receive the items ordered. best rule of thumb: the more documentation you have, notes, emails, etc, the stronger the case you have. harder for them to rebuttal your complaints if they even respond.
I notified PayPal that the site was a fraud and all a sudden I get a tracking number from ups saying that the website told them to give it to me. So after a month I finally have the kit and its great!
