Dome light problem

Stupid question but is the dome light supposed to work when you open the front passenger side door? The Dome light functions when you open the three other doors in addition to the hatch.....Bizarre...Bad door switch?

Yup - sounds like a bad switch. Try figgling with it and see if the dome comes on..... should be an easy replace though for you or the dealer....

but don't be suprised if they have to order it!I think the only vibe parts we stock are the ones that fit other vehicles,like light bulbs

Well, they stock common parts, probably belts, bulbs, fluids, filters, maybe screws and fastners. I wouldn't expect any dealer to maintain a supply of door switches or other uncommon parts. That's just my feeling though.

exactly...then when you don't put one on for a few months,they return the one you had in stock to GM and it makes you really mad.Lol,the joys of a dealership.
