New Door Lock Problems

I tried replacing a front exterior door handle on my 2005 Pontiac Vibe as seen in this video:

I ordered parts from Amazon and followed the instructions, but the part of the door handle pointed towards the rear of the car keeps popping up, and I am unable to tighten the torx screw in the door. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I am having a similar issue. I replaced the handle (driver's side) and the torc screw that isn't supposed to fall out, fell out. Does anyone know the size of screw so I could possibly find a replacement? Thanks
