Radio/AC Bezel replacement

Post by jdnorton72 »

Hi, I have a 2003 vibe with all of the round buttons that's broken. I see a significant price difference between one with the buttons and one without. How hard are they to snap out and in to the new bezel? Last thing I want to do is break the new one. I know these things can be pretty fragile. Thanks!

It's been a while but I don't recall it being too difficult. That said, you are correct that the plastic is fragile. The tabs on the switches are 3000% stiffer than the thin plastic on the bezel they snap into. Can be a bit of a pain to push in to release.

Just be careful and avoid excessive force. Probably wise to bring the bezels indoors to transplant switches if it's cold out.
