I have a 2003 Vibe GT. 2 zz ge fuel injected 6 speed manual. Grey on grey with black interior I bought it new. I just turned over 700,000 km (430,000 miles.) Although I have lovingly maintained it for 21 years it just came up lame. I changed the oil every 10 k without a miss and used only synthetic. Mechanic says connecting rods. It still runs but has the death rattle so not reliably for the long term. There are only three choices, new motor or rebuilt or rebuild this one. At least $10,000 in parts installed in the last 3 years. New throttle body, shifter cables, new front end parts, quick struts, axles, wheel bearings,rad etc. Custom painted Painted vibe rims with logo, Michelin cross climate tires and almost new brakes. Body is in good condition, as is interior. It has clean title with only two minor accidents. I am not a mechanic so it would be expensive for me to swap the motor. I am very sad but i am hoping I can find my buddy a new home, hopefully a mechanic to keep the Vibe alive. Clean and reliable otherwise. I am in Vancouver Canada. Is there anyone who wants this car?
