2003 pontiac vibe gt

great to join this group
just found it yesterday
first i wanted the pontiac vibe 09 gt
love its look..made some offers but dropped out at the last minute
kept hearing about the 07-09 2.4L oil burn problem
then fell i love with the 2003 vibe gt
just picked up an 03 vibe gt last week
good body
good trans
good interior
engine said to have blown head gasket
engine starts up
but making engine noise
water is pouring out in the middle below the intake manifold
when you fill up the radiator

Welcome to GenVibe. Hope you got this Vibe for just a few hundred $$$. Knowing of the problems, you need to open up this engine immediately and make the repairs before you do any more damage to the engine. Head gaskets on the early GT's are rare for going out. Need more info to help you further. This Vibe may have had more abuse done to it than you're aware of.

On the 09-10 Vibes with the bigger 2.4L engines, they only burn oil if the prior owner(s) failed to change oil at early intervals. It'(removed) or miss on these. Even if you had an oil burner (we have one) it's not the end of the world. Just need to monitor the level and add a quart every 2000 miles, as in my case and you'll be fine.
