Check Engine Light

I have a 2009 Vibe. My Check engine light is on. The code is P0717, I replaced the Vehicle Speed Sensor and the connector to it. The light went out, so I decided to drive it. After driving for a while. I stopped at a traffic light. As I turned left the trans shuttered and the Check Engine light came on. I went home and cleared the code and drove it some more. It did fine. So I found a intersection, stopped and turned right, not lights not problems. When I stopped and turned left. The light came on and it wouldn't shift right. I have limited skills and recourses, can any one offered suggestions? If you can Thanks
