2009 2.4 Vibe: Sources for hard-to-find parts

Post by BelleHarper »

Hi everyone!

I just bought a 2009 2.4F Vibe and am loving it. 105 K mi. I'm on the lookout for a few parts that are not readily available. Does anyone have recommendations re where I might look? If anyone has a red 2009 they're parting out please connect.

Very best,
Melissa

Welcome to genvibe

Where to find parts can depend a lot on what specific parts you're looking for. A significant number of mechanical parts are the same for Toyota Matrixes of the same year, so often finding a cross reference to a toyota part can yield a source.

If you're looking for body parts, then maybe the best hope is to try to find them at a junkyard. I often use https://www.car-part.com/ to search junkyards near me for parts, seems like most yards are plugged in to that database.

I've got a 2009 Pontiac VIbe GT. The engine seized up so I am parting it out. Let me know what you are looking for and I may be able to help you out.

Hi Josh-
Do you have the headlight assemblies still? I might be interested in those.

Also looking for crossbars that look good and work. I have no side rails on my car. No sunroof.

Thanks!!

I replaced my headlight assemblies (2009 2.4 AWD) a few years back as they were hazed over and could not get them clear for the life of me. I ordered a set off of Amazon and they were perfect fit. I'll find the link when I get home. They do not come with light bulbs so either use existing ones or buy new.

Enjoy your Vibe!! :D :D
