Big Black Box in Passenger Cubby Hole

I bought my 2007 Vibe a few weeks ago and I can't help but notice what is the big black box sitting between the passenger tail light and the passenger speaker. I also have some wires/plugs sticking out apparently done by the previous owner. That big black box is lose but I have no clue what it is. Someone please tell me. I can send some pictures to show you what I have got going on

Sounds strange. Pics would help. You can upload pics here, but there's a ~1MB file size limit, and modern digital cameras make file sizes bigger than that, so you'd have to either crop the pic own or resize it to reduce the file size

If Sirius radio was available then it could be the satellite receiver box. In the 2009-10 models that's exactly what & where it is!
