Replacing Lower Control Arms - with what parts?

Post by LaiFong »

Super simple, practical questions here.
Both front lower control arms and the engine cradle/subframe/crossmember on my 07 Pontiac Vibe need to be replaced. What are all the parts I need to source? I know a few of them, but maybe not all...I'm excited to get my Vibe going strong again, just want to click Place order!

Questions and what's in my cart at Rockauto so far:

1.Are the not included "Grease fittings" and "mounting hardware" for the arms needed? If so exactly what grease fitting and mounting hardware? Can't find any info.

2.Other parts for the cradle?

3.Front Right Lower Control Arm ACDELCO 45D3232

4.Front Left Lower Control Arm ACDELCO 45D3231

5.Ball Joint GM GENUINE 19184280

6. Not from Rockauto - used 2005 Vibe engine cradle from a salvage place

ball joint unbolts from the arm. unless the ball joint is bad, i'd leave it alone.

i'm surprised the engine cradle is bad...they're usually fine unless you hit something lol.

Thanks.

Well something did hit the car. It was pushed 8 feet back and up onto the sidewalk, and the cradle bent where it was rusted. Not so lol.
