Installed a Cosmo CAI 2008 Base Vibe, new MAF, check engine light on? HELP

Installed a Cosmos CAI on my stock 2008 Vibe 1.8. The kit comes with everything for the car which is awesome.

I'm having the same issue again with my MAF. It staring throwing the engine code. Curious, does this need time to break in or perhaps do I need a new MAF? I cleaned the MAF and it may possibly be doomed lol. Is there a safe way to clean the hotwire with qtips, seems safe.

Alright guys installed a new MAF and it's still throwing the code, am I forever doomed with the check engine light once I did this install? So confused, HELP!

Put the stock intake back on, reset the code. I bet the code will go away. Return the CAI, the new MAF, and enjoy your extra money and reliable car.
