what you say?
average original automatic transmission life with never a fluid change.
i say 170.000.
and when the time arrives what,s the cost estimate for the average rebuild job ?

With no fluid changes, it would depend on driving habits and the environment. The warmer the climate, the quicker auto transmission fluid goes bad.

Not sure on the cost but most cars are around $2000 for transmission jobs

The A/T transaxle is like $250 bought used.

He asked for an average rebuild price. If you just take the car to a shop for a transmission they will likely charge around 2k

I offered up a used transmission price because the thought of rebuilding over buying a used one is absolutely absurd.
