i do believe they do have a set of TRD's for the Second Gen Matrix's, and i do believe they do fit our GT's.vibenvy wrote:The Vibe looks amazing lowered Cole!
I wish the TRD springs would work on the GT because a mild drop like they provide would be much more my style than the drop you have.
After seeing your new signature, I am thinking our Vibes need some yellow fog light overlays...
I bit the bullet and ordered a pair of the yellow fog light overlays from Headlight Armor! $22.17 with shipping. I will definitely post pictures and all once I get receive them and get them installed .vibenvy wrote:Hmmm... thanks for the link! I had checked out Lamin-X, but they don't offer custom fit fog light overlays for the 2009-2010 Vibe GT, only headlight and taillight overlays. I am seriously considering some yellow fog light overlays once I get the issues with my DDM fog light HIDs taken care of!
got them off ebay, they were originally for my 06 vibe, but i was lucky enough that they fit the GT. They are genuine GM Chevy Camaro Transformers Edition Center Caps.glhboy wrote:Where'd you get the Autobot centercaps?
I have no idea. I posted on here, MO and Toyota Nation about doing LEDs in the turn signals and never got any solid responses on whether the 2nd gens use a CK socket or not and more info about what flasher was needed, etc. I ended up just getting Stealth Auto chrome amber bulbs for the front and rear marker lights because it was so much easier.NascarXprt wrote:looking to do the power stop rotors and continue the LED upgrades. question for you, where is our flasher relay located?
Exactly why I replaced mine before my trip. I know these Toyota motors have some issues with the water pumps.NascarXprt wrote:Water Pump:
The front turn signals are CK, 3157bulbs. On the 3 wire plug, the two outside wires are the ones you jumper with the resistor to prevent the fast blink.vibenvy wrote:I have no idea. Damn, that sucks Cole . I knew about the water pump issue from FB, but didn't know about the bearing in the alternator. Also, I wasn't aware of all the damage the water pump had caused. I am very lucky that mine was just leaking and that I got it replaced before anything else happened.NascarXprt wrote:Early Feb Bearing in the alternator went out on me, 733 dollar repair (complete BS)
Last month had to replace water pump. Water Pump went out on my way back from Dallas destroying the belt, damaging the tensioner as well as pulling out the crank shaft some, that ended up being a 975 repair...
yea the belt fell behind the water pump which cause all that damage. yea the alt scared me crazy, and i thought it was my power steering then closer look the 09 dont have fluid power steering, its electrical... it was not a good time when it went out.vibenvy wrote:Damn, that sucks Cole . On the plus side, the Vibe looks great ! Any mods you're currently in the process of getting, installing, etc.?
Yea it looks like it isnt going to be a pita to remove, its easily visable from the lower left drawer/coin holder on the dash. i havent fully investigated it just yet, but it looks simple enough to remove with no issue.ctgottapee wrote:Does that flasher relay seem easy to access and have enough room to pull the prongs, etc, now that you found it??
That is what I wanted to do, rather than the resistors, and the flasher module is available affordably, I just could never find the sucker.
I did LED tower bulbs for the signals up front, and so far and sticking with chrome dome for the rear signals.
I put the spider expanding leds in for the rear brake light, and I'm trying to open the light to put a second one in where the reverse bulb goes, and then removing the reflectors for the rear so it will all look clear
If I like it, I'll lose rear backup lights and may use one of those european led switching bulbs that show white constant when on and also flash yellow, and put that in the rear turn signal socket and splice the hot reverse light up to it turning it into a combo socket
