Ok, so I just got a great deal on a set of 2009 Vibe GT wheels, and I find out that the offset is 5x114.3 on the 09 gt wheels, and my vibe has a 5x100 offset.
I found some wheel adapters that are 1 inch thick, has anyone used these or experienced any issues?
Not recommended as the adapters will push out your wheels a full inch, so you will probably hit the fenders with the tires. They would look nice, and I wish I could have put them on my son's 06, I but ended up getting some of the 17" alloy wheels instead since I knew they would fit.
Since you have them, maybe you can try to mock them up, like getting a piece of 1" wood to use as a spacer and see how much farther they stick out than the stock ones.

offset is the distance of the mounting points from the center of the wheel... usually a 1-2 digit positive or negative number like +45, 0(zero) or -15, etc...
you're describing Bolt Pattern when you say 5x114.3 or 5x100.

Thanks for the compliment, actually I am used to looking at them now, and the stock rims on my blue vibe don't look normal now.
It is amazing how much better the car handles now too with the performance tires on it, takes corners real well, it feels like a totally different car when driving it.
