Looking for 2005+ Vibe, Auto Transmission

Post by Sabin »

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a 2005+ Vibe, Auto Transmission. I am looking to spend around $7,000 (give or take) for it. I live in NYC - I am willing to travel a little bit, but hopefully not too far. I'm open to any color, etc. I've come here because I'm sure the members here care for and maintain their cars with respect. I look forward to joining you all soon as an owner.

Please feel free to post your car and price.

Thank you,
Richard

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it. I have been looking at sites such as those, but I'm leery about making a purchase only to fail on me.

I trust people who frequent enthusiast sites with how well they've maintained their cars, and would rather make a purchase through them (also as opposed to going through a dealer who will rip them off and sell high to me.) Not that everyone who doesn't visit a fan/enthusiast site has a heap of junk, but chances are people who come here are knowledgeable and passionate about their car - which I respect.

So my hope is, maybe someone has driven their 2005+ Vibe enough to warrant selling it around $5,000. I am also looking at Volvo v40, v50's, Subaru Legacy wagons, and possibly a WRX wagon. My original price range was like $3,000 or so. I know that sounds low, but alot of the cars I listed are very reliable, even with high mileage.

The Vibe, however, is a car that seems like it fit my needs nicely. Good cargo space, good MPG, reliable. If the situation presents itself, I am willing to go a bit over my $5,000 limit for the Vibe, although I'd rather not go further into spending more than I should. Ultimately, it depends on the specific situation.

Thanks again,
Sabin

Hi everyone,

Now the the holiday season is over, thought I'd pop in to say I'm still looking. I've upped my limit to around $7,000 give or take.

Thanks!

Check out my recent listing for a very nice, low mileage 2005 Vibe.

I'll be selling my 05' auto trans vibe soon, but it has high miles (217k). Car is solid however. I'm the 2nd owner & the first owner drove up & down the east coast delivering medical specimens to universities and put 180k before i bought it in 2010. He kept up on the maintenance as have I.

Car has power package w/keyless entry and is very clean inside & out. Newish tires & brakes and recent tune up (o2 sensor & sparkplugs, airfilter).

Still not sure what I'd take for the car. I was originally going to list it on CL for $4k and see where that went but I'd settle for $3500 for sure. I haven't really checked the market lately to see what its worth now.

Thanks for the reply shaeet, but 200,000 is too high for me. Even the most well maintained car would have me nervous at that number.

Best,

Mine is possibly still for sale... 2009 2.4l automatic, ultra white. Will come with two sets of wheels (stock 17" powdercoated metallic red with all season tires and 18" wheels with summer tires), plus a cold air intake (and the original stock filtration system which is only ever on for PA inspection day). You can take a look at photos and the list of mods in my garage (linked in my signature below). Original asking price was $12,000 but that was almost 9000 miles ago.. it's currently a hair under 80k, and I would like $10,500 for it (could work out a lower price with only stock wheels and no CAI as well). I'm not far from Harrisburg, PA.
