Double DIN reciever?

Can someone help me out here??? I have an 06 Base with the M & T package. I have been a long time Crutchfield customer, and they are claiming there is not enough room for a Double DIN reciever. Is this correct? Or are they full of it? I was hoping to get an Eclipse AVN 5435, 5500, or something like that.Thanks

As far as I know you can fit a double din receiver in your Vibe. I have an in-dash LCD (flip-out type) and a Pioneer CD/MP3 player in mine. You just have to get the right mounting brack to fit and you can do it.

yes it is a double din area... i have had an LCD and a DVD player in it at the same time

Any ideas where to look for other mounting kits? Apparently, the Metra kits will only work for DIN, and not DDIN, it says the 05 and 06 have a smaller face than previous years.

on crutchfield it says all year models of the vibe..... double din players won't fit... but they do

I have a Metra kit in mine (double-din) and it works just fine. I can't remember the model number though.
