TomTom isn't well known in the US, but apparently they are a big player in Europe.I love the simplicity of the unit deisgn. Should go for about $799 with touch screen. Oh, and I hear they will offer removable faceplates.

I never plan on getting lost when I go on a trip... but I sure count on it and well... $hit happens lol and I'm always pulling out the map. But I'm a planner... you should see my map for Montreal. Each road and destination is marked out in pen.
