http://bottomline.msnbc.msn.co...-carsKind of a cool article, although it doesn't really deliver much in the way of specifics. As usual, the Pontiac Aztek takes a shot (such an easy, lame joke). What do you guys think, what cars of the last 20-25 years will be the highly sought after collectibles of the future?Of course, I say: VW MK2 Golf Country Syncro - I'm a sucker for any early watercooled VW's though.

Probably the Solstice and Sky. Roadsters seem to have a special market. The retro 2002-2005 Ford T-Bird. While derided when being sold, those cars should command high prices in the futureThe 1984-1988 Pontiac Fiero because of its styling and the fact it was one of the first all plastic cars to be mass producedHonda CRX (including the rare CRX convertible made by Straman for Honda dealers) It is hard to find a good CRX without the rust that always killed them
I've got a rather "strange" bro-in-law who collects Yugo's In fact he recently had to let one go the the scrap metal Gods due to it sitting out in the weather unprotected for 10-15 years Two of them are still drivable and in good shape. You'll never catch me in one though
09-10 Vibe, especially the GT. Only two years made, reliable and easy to source Toyota parts, unique styling, the title of "final Pontiac" (hey Dave Gironda, ya listening?), a bit quirky, and ahead of its time. 03-08 Vibes might be "classics" but just less-so. Post-Pontiac "Firebirds." Desirable and rare. Ford Crown Vic and other Panther cars. The last true BOF sedan in America. It'll be hard to find one in good shape, that hasn't been beaten to death by a cab company. The plastic Saturns. Real fighters of the imports, and futuristic aluminum space-frame. If they were to come out now they'd be loved. Pick a Saab. Any Saab. Even the Saabaru and Saab Trailblazer. Especially the 2011-12 model years. But any will be treasured since the Saab museum is being liquidated. Pontiac G8 and 04 GTO, for obvious reasons. Big power in a RWD car. Pontiac's final gasps of what it was meant to be.
