Where is the SAT. Radio antenna plug?

Post by joedaddy »

Hello, I am trying to help my father with his 2009 vibe. He wants to put a mobile siriusxm unit into his vibe, so he can use it on the car, and on his bike. The car has factory sat. radio, which they currently have a subscription to, but will be cancelling to use the portable unit. He wants to use the factory antenna that is on the roof of the car, instead of putting another one up there. Through my searching on here, I have read that it can be done, but I can't find any information on where the factory sat. radio anntenna goes to.Thanks for any help.

Thanks for any help.It should be just above the subwoofer (if you have one) and go straight up to the roof. In this pic it is the silver box near the top of this cluster****. You'll likely need to remove this same large trim panel as I did in this pic, in order to locate it. Good luck

Ok, thanks. I printed that out for him, so he can decide if that is more work, or if it is more work to put the magnetic one up on the roof. If he does decide to go the factory route, then he will just need an antenna extension cord, like this one? http://www.amazon.com/XM-Radio...s_e_7Thanks again.
