The covers come off them pretty easily, and for the machine my friends have, this was about as big as they could do. I'm happy!
Now that is cool, right there. Any time you can do a mod that looks so stock: I'd even be happy with just the front two. Did they have to undo the stitching on the under-side of the covers to get them off, or were they made to slip off a bit easier than that?
Lol!! They have plastic clips on the underneath that pop out, and then they slip off. If you take it off, mark an x with sharpie on the front, it's easy to lose track without the shape. Let me find out on cost. If you want vibe, it's already digitized. If something else there's the digitizing fee, but they can do anything about that size. If u seriously want to do it, IM me.

I hope that 12 inches of vacuum is not the norm... not if you are trying for the best mileage? What does the guage read @ idle, no gas? 28-30 psi? 'Just curious.....

Idle is around 19-20 IN-Hg. Normal cruising around 70-75mph is around 8-10, but any grade will change that. I can get it to about 24 if I downshift and coast with the engine over 5000rpm.I used to have this gauge in my Sunfire, it read higher vacuum throughout the range. Here's the 2 vids I currently have with the gauge visible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNbZdgxSEjM and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsCP3IJbUXENext time I'm out I'll take a normal one

Left it at home and rode around in a challenger headed for the mopar nats. Will be spending all day tomorrow at the track, I love the vibe but there's nothing like detroit muscle.

Took a ride to find blackberries...the real ones...not black raspberries, at a spot I found last year. Involves driving on a rough dirt road for a couple miles. Mostly dust seeing as rain around here has been non existant, however, found two big muddy waterholes and the Vibe ended up wearing a good amount of it. Needless to say..no berries, so I washed and waxed the Vibe after I got back. Looks very nice! Maybe some pics tomorrow if it doesn't rain. JR

I finally re-installed the K&N CAI after almost two weeks without it. I cleaned the MAF/IAT sensors and the air filter really well. I triple checked to make sure everything was nice and tight. Now I just wait and hope no lights come back on ...

I know i got that once or twice before I started running a tune.

I just picked up some 195/60/r15 Bridgestone Blizzak tires with good tread for $100. Now I just need a set of 15" rims. I know these rims are a bit smaller than what my car needs, but only by a tiny bit.
Cleaned the maf and throttle body. And replaced the vvt filter. Tomorrow ill be installing es motor mounts. I actully got a personal plate a few weeks ago too. Ill see if I can get the lady friend to take some pictures with her camera tomorrow and update my garage.

Very nice Tim !I actually had J TO ENVY vanity plates on my 02 Sunfire GT, but they drew way too much negative attention from cops and idiot drivers wanting to race, etc. so when I got my 02 Sunfire SE Sedan I decided to stick with regular plates. Now if I (removed) someone off on the road it's a lot harder for them to remember my plate and I don't have a front one which adds even more to the difficulty level . I drove about 60 miles today and so far no warning lights have come on . I saw two 09-10 GTs; a white one and a gray one. I of course gave them the V for Vibe, but as usual, got nothing in return .

^Agreed. Very Nice on the plates. Slightly envious now. My last memorable encounter with a Vibe was some highschool kid that wanted to race from what I could tell he was bone stock. Kept revving it and what not. The look on his face when I opened it up was priceless.
I drove to Mendota Heights to pick up some 205/55/r16 General Altimax Arctic snow tires for my sister's car, a 2003 Celica. Her wheels have zero winter traction. Dang are these things beefy!! Great price for them too. They make MY Blizzaks look puny
I ordered the front bug shield and it arrived today, so I installed it. I think it looks awesome . I don't see many '09/10 Vibes around here with one, all I see are the vent visors installed mostly. JR

Had to drive home in one this spring, hail never got above marble sized but I was a wringing wreck the whole time. I once watched my beloved s-dime get mauled by tennis ball sized hail. I cried.
Quote, originally posted by CAMOGIRL »You didn't get into it I hope? It went over my place but didn't hail too much. About 20 minutes later I went out, the storm had moved enough to the north that I just scraped the side of it. But for giggles I stuck the left tires into the ice at 120km/h.... lets just say that these aren't winter tires but the guy who was tailgating me sure backed off in a hurry!!!

More rain last night, then we've had in the last month and a half combined.
Drove it to school, hooray (not), where it will, I'm sure, get loads more character marks, on top of the ones it gotten in the past year! Yay for door dents, scratches, and scrapes!! (I hope you can all see my sarcasm.)
Washed at the Delta Sonic yesterday, paid the extra $8.50 to have them vacuum and wipe down the interior as well so I don't have to. It all worked out too, because they're giving away prizes with every purchase and I won a $20 interior detail gift certificate! The cars WILL be getting detailed this month before we take them on a road trip to the DC area in a couple weeks.

Loaded the Winter tires in the back to turn off the TMPS light... damn out of province inspections The Winter tires/rims have the sensors. The Winter tires/rims weigh 48lbs each. As I recall my summers weigh about 35-37lbs each!
Started putting it all back together. Got the new speakers and tweeters put in the fronts, and re-wired the entire system (wires all under the carpets now).
