Can someone explain me what is the difference between hp, brake hp and wheel hp? or in which context one should be used instead of the other?

BHP is Brake Horsepower, which is typically measured at the wheel(s), but is sometimes mistakenly referring to Flywheel HorsePower, engines' power with all accessories (alternator, water pump, a/c idler, etc.) attached.WHP is Wheel Horsepower, which is definitely measured at the wheel(s); also called 'effective' horsepower....it's all about *where & how* the power is being measured.SAE J1349 HP is the newest "standard"...which is a guaranteed "useable" HP.
