my guess would be if a taller vehicle were to be parked in that spot it would obstruct the view of traffic for the fire trucks exiting the station in a hurry.....just a guess.

They are everywhere in Ohio, too. They are there so cars don't park in front of the building in case there is a fire. If there were cars parked there, the fire trucks would have a hard time getting access to fight the fire.My father is a firefighter... he said they go out periodically and give tickets to people who park there vehicles in these marked area unattended.

It's not so much to prevent the fire trucks from getting to the entrance (we have to park away from the building = to the hight of the building incase of collapes), but more so the people inside can get out without obstruction. If you have a truck or large SUV parked infront of the entrance/exit, you will block the escape and add confusion cause you wont be able to see where to go for safety.

Yeah, seeing those arund here too.Honestly, I think they should take every single person in this country's handicapped parking permit back. Then, reissue them, to the people who REALLY need them. And crack down on people who "use their friend's" or something...I'm so outraged by the horrid abuse of the handicapped parking system...

In college, I did a lot of driving up and down state and I could never decide which signs were more stupid, the ones that are perched along miles of lake front that say "Scenic Overlook" or the ones that say "Do Not Pass When Opposing Traffic Is Present". Come on!!! They are both rediculous.

Better get that Toyota out of the UAW parking lot before you get a new hole in the sheetmetal. Just like the Aztek. It is american but it is built in Mexico. That is one of the main reasons it is not selling very well. Yes I know it's ugly too.
Just here to lend a hand to people who have questions about their Vibe.

Definitely seen the no-hitchhiking stuff before.. Speed humps are pretty good too. What I love about the 'humps' sign is they usually put it right BEFORE the otherwise unmarked humps...then you go flying!I always liked the old neighborhood watch signs, I could never figure out what the stupid picture was supposed to be.

Tilt it just a bit, and that Neighborhood Watch image could also double as a 'impending comet collision' warning, like the TOYOTA truck commercial! LOL
