When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is not true. If it were that easy, GM would have offered it as a $1K option !

you might have had better luck installing headlight fluid and elbow grease. Also tighten your muffler bearings because you've been had. Crack that box open and you'll find a resistor. Yes, a 12cent resistor from radio shack and a sticker. It causes a CEL because there wasn't a resistor in that spot on the circuit before, after a while it goes away and the ECU learns there is nothing wrong and ignores it. The CEL makes it seem like something has happened and the computer is like "Oh my gosh, (removed)! All this power! What do I do?!" but nothing happened except an error. When I did mobile audio for a shop, I used to pop these open for customers and show them an empty box with a weight and a resistor. It was a usually speechless reaction, or anger. Some of them have knobs on them to "adjust" the airflow or some junk, it's not attached to anything, it just spins and stops.Good luck on getting your $80 back. BTW, it drives like a bat out of hell sometimes because you mashed your foot on the gas pedal thinking there was something to be felt, you felt WOT on a stock car and $69 of thought-provoking speed, that's all.

Sounds like the stock ECU might be fighting it which is why the Vibe might run great one time and not the next.

If you think it's causing problems (power changing) then remove it. Anytime you are changing signals without a proper fuel managment it can cause problems.

I'm telling you guys, it's a loving resistor in a box. Same people that buy them buy the electric supercharger, vortex intake tube, and magnetic fuel rail...

(removed). Did you really pay $70 for that? And do I dare say it? This item falls into the same category as those $100 grounding wire kits.

I was planning on doing a ground upgrade with out the Kit. And maybe adding one of those voltage stablizers. I've had problems with coil packs and wondering if the ground to the engine is iffy.
