New owner of Vibe 2009 basic 1.8L

Post by mailxd »

feels much more spacious than Corolla. Nice compact car with comfortable/practical design~Looking for accessories: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=43412Wondering about recalls: Some say all 2009 Vibes are affected, but GM owner website says my VIN does NOT have any recalls. shall I be concerned? Besides possible upcoming fixing, do owners get other forms of compensation for the inconvenience? Will I get all notifications with the GM owner website registration, even if I'm not registered at any dealer? Thanks~

no recall shows up on the GM owner website for my VIN. Does your VIN show any recall there?maybe because the first owner (rental/lease/fleet) was in Washington State, which is not included in the recall list?

Before I bought mine, the salesman ran the Carfax report, saw that there was a recall and had his service department address the issue (the famous sticky accelerator pedal/floor mat problem).I'd say that if a VIN search found nothing against your vehicle, there should be nothing.

Welcome to GenVibe!!! There was a vacuum brake line booster recall back in late 2009. The floormat recall. The accelerator hacking/floor shaving recall. Also, check the rear hatch along the left/right edges of the spoiler for paint chipping!

Welcome to Gen Vibe! I wonder if you car didn't show up on a recall list because it has already been done?BWT, I've still not had any recall work done on mine. I love it just the way it is.
