2010 Rear center Console Removal - Siren Install

Post by ulsh72 »

Anyone have any tips for removing the rear center console? (where the cup holders and armrest are.)I am an EMT and want to mount my siren. Thinking about cutting a window straight down where the cup holders are, or else mounting it on its side into the armrest storage, with the controls on the front, facing forward just below the armrest. Both ways involves cutting, but I see no other room/space to mount and still have it accessible while driving.Hopefully I can then run the power wire and speaker wires under the console, under the dash, and out an as of yet unfound hole in the firewall to the battery and speaker - mounted somewhere behind the grill. (yes, this is all VERY preliminary so far)Anybody have any tips on the console removal, or on what I might find under the console that would prevent me from doing this?PS - not a lot of money to do this, so a pro install is not an option.

it's a big piece and there are a few cables to watch out for.to remove it you open the lid and at the bottom there are 4 bolts. 10mm if i remember right. just remove them and you can kind of work it out, take care of the parking brake lever.
None. Vibe is gone.
