it doesn't seem like they should be worn out by now, but going 40 mph it picks up the bumps from the concrete seems worse than I would like. anybody else experience this, should I replace the shocks?
I have an '06 with 55k, and I'm good. And that's with awful road patch jobs every 10 feet on my daily drive to work. Something that really helped was going to a taller sidewall tire. When it was time for my factory RS-As to go this spring, I switched to 205/60/16. The original size is 205/55/16. I truly believe the increase bought me another 25k on my shocks. Hopefully... Also: Any change in habits/routes you take to everyday places? Maybe your transportation department is cutting back due to funds. I know Michigan is experiencing that to a degree.
If you still come back to check this, change them. I see its been about a month, so if you haven't done so by now, I suggest it. My 04 GT has about 90k miles and still riding on stock equipment. Don't put it off like I did, things get worse the longer you wait.Side note, all the research I've done has found that 50k is when its time to change the struts and shocks.
