http://www.properautocare.com Start by vacuuming the interior! Vacuuming does more than pick up loose dirt and stones; it makes the interior feel clean. Carpets, mats, seats and door jambs can be cleaned using the round brush attachment but the secret is using the crevice tool to reach into those really hard-to-clean areas. Visually, it only takes a few of those overlooked areas to make an otherwise clean car feel dirty. The best automotive vacuum we have found is the Vac N'Blo. We haven't found anything that comes close to the cleaning power of this mighty mite.Soiled carpets, mats and upholstery can be cleaned using a fabric cleaner such as Eimann Fabrik Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner, 303 Rug/Upholstery Cleaner, and Eagle One Zap Interior Cleaner. Simply spray the cleaner on the fabric, agitate with a brush and vacuum or pat dry with a clean towel. Remaining stains require a stronger cleaner. If stains remain after trying either of the above cleaners use Eimann Fabrik Spot Remover or Stoner Xenit. These are stronger cleaners. Always test a less noticeable area before using for the first time. After cleaning consider using a fabric guard and UV protectant like 303 Fabric Guard to protect against water, dirt, grease and sun damage. One can will cover about 50 square ft. That's all the carpeting in a car, front and backseat, or four fabric seats. If you're going to protect front and back cloth seats and front and back carpeting you will need two cans. One application of 303 Fabric Guard can protect fabrics against fading and sun damage for up to three years. This is a must for convertibles with cloth interiors. Vinyl headliners are best cleaned using Eagle One Zap Interior Cleaner or Eimann Spot Remover. Try the Eagle One Zap product first as it's less likely to remove dye from the headliner. Cloth headliners can also be spot cleaned with Eagle One Zap but if the stain persists try using 303 Rug/Upholstery Cleaner. One last note on interior cleaners. We are repeatedly asked which product is the best cleaner. Sadly, there is no one answer as different stains require different solvents to remove them. There is no 'magic bullet' when it comes to stain removers. I would suggest adding Mess Kit to your detailing arsenal. Between these three cleaners you should be able to remove 99% of stains occurring in the car and around the home.
