I rotated my tires today and inspected the brakes. After I got done, I took it out for a test drive and now I have a sharp pull to the right. I only moved tires/rims and thats it. The car has never had an alignment since Ive owned it, but now I will pony up the $75.What did I do wrong?
how did you rotate the tires? cross pattern or front to back?the vibe I think was recommended only do front to back rotation. If nothing else changed and you rotated front to back then your tires are worn different (bad camber).
Rotate them back and see how it drives. Might relieve any worry about if you did any damage with the jack.

I stopped and talked to a buddy of mine who has been a mechanic for 25 plus years. He has an alignment machine and I told him my delima. He pulled off the front wheels and tried to rebalance them. Turns out I have broken belts in both front tires..... He said I wouldnt have noticed the pull so much until I rotated them. But he told me that if I bought four new tires he would toss in an alignment for free.Time for new tread!

-1 to discount. took FOREVER to set a pair of winter tires on steelies (over 5 hours, quoted 1 1/2) once and another time to take off the steelies and put new tires on a new set of rims and put those on.
