Courtesy Light

Post by schmooobie »

My son was changing out the bulb on the roof when he shorted it out. The light itself works if you turn it on manually but it doesn`t work when you open the door, neither the front or rear. The switches are in the correct position. Does anyone know what circuit or module it goes to.

Hummm...I'd first guess operator error. The fuse must be good since the light actually lights.I don't see how the "short" could cause the door circuit to go bad.I'd pull the dome light assy out and give it a look-see with a DVM.

turns out that it is connected to the Multifunction Alarm Module and it might have fried when it got shorted.

If it was an 03, I'd say maybe the dimmer switch is set to off, but I don't know if that's even an option on this dark Vibe.
