Discovery Shuttle launch pics

Post by Sputnik »

The hubby and I went to Orlando for Easter and drove out to Titusville at 2:30am to catch the fourth last shuttle launch. What an amazing experience!! Thought I'd share the pics with you.

Now that would be a cool photo op! We went out ot Kennedy Space Center after the launch. Very cool place. The highway coming out of KSC was jam packed after the launch. Luckily we were going in to it, so very little traffic that way! Titusville was also jam packed. I think it was even worse than getting out of the parking lot after an Ottawa Senator's NHL Game. It was all worth it though. You could feel it in the ground as it launched. The little girl in front of us with her dad turns to him and says "Thank you for bringing me to see this daddy." She was probably about 7 or 8 years old.
