2008 Vibe (bought used). Anyone know where I can locate detailed specs for the CD player/radio installed pictured on page 3-44 in my 80 Vibe owners manual (the one on the left, not the six-disk player. Mine is not labeled 'MP3' anywhere on the face of the unit, so i'm assuming it's 'Radio with CD 'Basic'). My question is what types of CD media (CD-R, CD-RW, etc) I can burn on using Windows Media Player 11 (or CDBurnerXP) on XP Pro (SP3) that this CD player in the vehicle will play. Say, for example, one wants to d/l video mp4 clips from YouTube, and convert them dropping the video to a audio file (ex : a .mp3 audio file). If my CD player in the vehicle is 'Radio with CD Basic' not labeled MP3, which type of audio file would one have to convert to before burning? many thanks, mike
I'm pretty certain this will work:.cda (CD audio default format) on CD-R discs.Basic units and 6-disc changers like the one in my '03 will not play CD-RW's, and absolutely won't play mp3's.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
Thanks Kostby:Bummer!... i've got CDRW's but can't really justify buying a pack of CD-R's....I have CD audio which was burned for me by someone who doesn't know .cda or .mp3 from .huh or .how -- they play just fine, but burned on CD-R media using W Media Player (an older version, 10 or possiblly even 9). I just burned 70 plus minutes as 'CD Audio' on to a CDRW using W Media Player 11, finalized, plays just fine at home PC, won't play in vehicle player. Curious: will the vehicle CD player play anything other than a CD-R?...(i have bland DVD-R)
