Routine Maintenance on the 2008 Frosty

Post by ou.grizzly »

Oil Change @ 47,000 miles with Valvoline SynPower. Serra Buick Cadillac Pontiac GMC in Romeo, MI charges $38.00 for the oil change and then gives you a $15.00 mail in rebate. Result is a Synthetic Oil Change costing around $24.00. Tire Rotation @ 47,000 miles by Serra Buick Cadillac Pontiac GMC in Romeo, MI for $8.95. They rotated them from front to back and the back to front while switching sides. Cabin Air Filter @ 47,000 miles. This was simple and straight forward. Here is a video on how to install the filter.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJIoiBzym08To keep the door and hatch seals good, I picked up some Gunk Silicone Spray Lubricant for $2.99 @ AutoZone. It started to rain, so I will be doing this tomorrow. Engine Air Filter @ 47,000 miles. I purchased an Purolator Engine Air Filter from Advanced Auto for $15.00 + tax. Part # A25463. Filter is good quality, construction, and a tight fit. Purolator Filter Home Page Fitment Guide http://www.purolatorautofilter....aspxI have also attached a WORD Document that has a picture of the filter and Part # also.

since this is the Frosty page, I'll jump in and tell you that I took my Frosty in for a 120,000 checkup. I had the brake fluid swapped out for the first time, and had the rear brakes replaced for the first time. Tranny fluid has been swapped out twice at 60,000 mile intervals, and the car with a cracked windshield, door dings, 4 million paint chips, and no back lighting on the radio just keeps on ticking.
