hopefully some good news!!!!

Post by red »

talked to my dealer's service manager and he said that i might be getting some replacement parts for my vib FREE of charge!! i have extensive damage to my lower mouldings on my 2tone frosty and called gm customer assistance for help..the 1st time failed, however the 2nd time is netting results and i should know wednesday if pontiac will repair/replace my lower cladding front to back AND install the new 2004 extensions...he was shooting for the fancier ones from the sport package but they couldnt get part #'s...he said that it looks good and he doesnt see why the district rep would turn it down...wish me luck...i will inform on the outcome so that if any of you 2tone owners are having issue, at least you know what to expect and if i am successful, you can use my case as a precedent

Yes-----A little while ago at our Fenton, Mich meet--we had the GM Vibe Quality manager there and he told us to be expecting a service bulitten regarding that issue.

quote:What about those of us with monotone? Does the same apply to us?No, the monotones remain the same for 2004 and do not qualify for this type of change. The only replaceable part on the monotone would be the tape in front of the rear wheels on the lower molding.. that's in case it the tape is discolored.

They don't make the sports package rockers in 2-tone. The 2004 extended rockers are a nice upgrade. I'm thinking of ordering a set. I don't have any damage at this time but it couldn't hurt, plus they look good.

the local service manager was looking to put on the two side extensions from the aero package 'cause he knew they would fit...he was then going to have them painted to match my lower gray cladding (nice of him i thought)...i think it would of looked neat , but its a moot point since they couldnt find #'s for the side sport extensions. i hope no one crashes their sport packaged vibe in the side..ouch...i bet the only way to get the extensions is to order the whole kit...insurance companies gonna love that...that will make a rate go up! btw, we just got our latest motors parts books with some of the new 04 model updates and the sport package for the vibe isnt in there
