I need help on a little question i got. I'm selling my GT springs on Ebay, but i'm curious if these springs are a upgrade for the base???? I read in the Vibe brochure that the GT has a specially calibrated sport-tuned suspension. I would like to include this information in the auction. ALso, if anyone is interested in them just drop me a line.
Not sure about the springs, but I noticed that at the base of the rear struts is a sticker. I've noticed the Base Vibes I've seen has a "2" on them and the GT's have a "3" on them. Too bad we don't have a member who works at the NUMMI plant who could check out if they put different springs on the GT than they do on the base.
I don't hink they're different at all...I saw enough Vibes at the MI meet to make my lowered Vibe stand out. My question is though, who would buy stock springs when they already have a Vibe...with the same springs? They wouldn't lower the car or anything else....I guess if you can sell them then cool, but whoever buys them, I think, is a fool.

According to my parts guide, the springs for the Base and GT are the same all around. They list only one part number, and make no distinguishment between the two.The only variable is the rear suspension on the AWD model. That spring is different. The strut assemblies in their entirety are different, and are listed as different part numbers -- but as far as I can tell, there is no difference in springs.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
I really don't know. If there are different springs they would both cary the same ride height. Only difference I could see is maybe one is stiffer than the other. I will check with parts tomorrow if I get a chance and see if there are different part numbers.
