Have an '05 Vibe base model, 4spd auto, 64K mi. Yesterday the Traction Control, VSC (Vehicle Skid Control or Stability Control) and Check Engine warning lights came on and stay on all the time. Any ideas what's triggering all three of these at once?
No not really, but autozone can/will read/clear the code for you and you can look it up, or bring it back here and we can help... Welcome to GenVibe BTW, enjoy the stay...
(removed) My 09' just started doing that today. I have an appointment with GM tomorrow. Funny thing is, i had it into gm for an oilchange last week. I read through the manuel and basically the TC and VSC light are one and the same and both will come on if something is wrong with either. The engine i'm guessing is on becuase the other two are on. Thats just a guess though.
So took it to the dealer... My oil cap was off (but once put back on the lights didn't go away). Results was snow build up in the rear end of the car, pushed one of the engine sensors out of line or something like that. The TC and VSC were on becuase they are linked to the engine and when the engine light is on the TC and VSC shut off automatically for safety reasons. At least that was the story i got. Everything is fine now with my car.

Similar things have happened to me in the past with difference vehicles due to snow/ice build up.

Is the VSCoff light flashing? is the check engine light on as well? Take it to the dealer or get a code reader. It could be as simple as a loose wire or the system that applies individual brakes could be fried... but the worst that will happen is that you no longer have stability or traction control.
My VSCoff light is flashing and check engine light is on along with the traction control icon thing. Do you think it's safe to drive it for a couple more days till I get it checked out by the dealer? I need to go on a short road trip first lol
hmm will a nail in the tire cause these lights to come on? Today I saw a nail in the rear passenger side tire and while getting the tire fixed I told the guy about the lights that came on and he says it might be possible so idk =/
