OK, getting smashed into always sucks, regardless of the year or your car, but I just found out that because my car is an 09 and the first year for an updated body style, that it will take 2-3 weeks to get parts. My wife was driving and was side swiped by a 4x4 and both doors were destroyed. We got the claim filed and met with the insurance adjuster and got an estimate of $3600--there may be more damage but we can't tell until we get the doors open.I called the shop to ask when I should bring the car down to be repaired and they said that it will take 2-3 weeks to have the doors trucked from the supplier in Michigan. So everyone wait a few more months before you start wrecking your 09's!

Bummer. Just kind of ruins the "new car feel".A co worker wrecked her 1 month old Buick a while back. It too was a new model. It took them over 3 months to get all of the repair parts! After her rental car from the insurance ran out (30 days) she forced GM to provide her a loaner car for the rest of the time at no charge. It was not her fault they didn't stock parts she argued. They eventually had to pull a few trim parts off a car on the lot just to get her car done.Good luck on the repairs.
